A very disappointing result against a Middleton Blue team who were determined to put on a good display on the back of two defeats to Middleton Red.
The match was decided in the first 15 minutes.Assisted by the wind Middleton attacked from the first whistle and applied all the pressure. This caused the Barr Hill team to committ silly errors which Middleton seized upon and scored.Middleton, during this purple patch had 5 chances and scored them all.
After this awful start Barr Hill started to create a number of chances but were unable to finish any of them off. This was the difference on the day. Barr Hill never converted any of the opportunities to score whereas Middleton did.
Take away the first 15 minutes, the game was even with Barr Hill creating more chances. The second half saw Barr Hill try and restore some pride but to no avail.
Brandon, on his debut , worked tirelessly in midfield and was a clear man of the match performer for Barr Hill.
The encouraging point coming out of this match is that the players themselves knew what went wrong and why. They will all work hard as a team to ensure there is no repeat performance next week.
