Sat 15 Nov 2008  League
Barrhill U11's Aces 2
Charlie Boyle (1)
Nathan Race (1)
Beechfield Storm 2

Another game of missed chances.

we have to take these chances or we will find ourselves at the bottom of the league, we had all the possession from the first whistle, but a mistake lets Beechfield take the lead, we get a goal back from Charlie who HEADS the ball past the keeper from a corner.

Half time 1-1

Second half more of the same the Aces having most of the ball, but just not finding the back of the net.

Becchfield take the lead again to make it 1-2, but in fairness to the lads they just kept the pressure on Beechy, and in the end Nathan smashed one into the top corner with his RIGHT FOOT, yes he has one folks to level it 2-2.

From the restart we pinned them in their half and on another day these chances would of gone in, but today they were just going wide, hitting the post, save from the keeper, etc etc.

Full time 2-2, but what a great game of football to be part of, both sets of players gave a great display for there teams, well done.

Bob & Nick.

In junior football, should all players be given the same amount of time on the pitch during a game, regardless of ability?
Yes, always. Getting kids involved is the most important thing.
Yes, unless it is an important game.
No. Winning is important at all ages, so the best players should play more often.
